I just found this new website called Cult of Weird. It is an online museum of you guessed it, weird, obscure, strange topics. But to me, they are not weird or gross. To me they are beautiful and mysterious, interesting and creative. I really liked the website, recommend it and want to share it with everyone! I read about new artists and even saw a stop motion film! OMG! Robert Morgan, you are blowing my mind right now. I only saw The Separation but can't wait to see more! Above is the youtube video to his channel. Below is a photographer I read about that is also from Cult of Weird. It is a Japanese photographer/artist and her series is called Fairytale. Miwa Yanagi also has several other photo series worth checking out. This photo is the one that spoke to me the most. Lastly, DIORAMAS! Boy, does the Cult of Weird know its stuff! I love dioramas and I love making them. Marc Giai Miniet is a french artist that makes dioramas of libraries, stairs (my favorite), rooms that look like it's from a lonely, scary but beautiful dollhouse. Look at all those books he made by hand!

Ray Harryhausen died today at 92. He was the first stop motion animator I ever heard of and my favorite movie of his was Clash of the Titans. He was a big influence on all the directors/ animators I like: Peter Jackson, Phil Tippet and Nick Park. He is pretty much the Father of stop motion. RIP Ray Harryhausen.
