Yesterday, my mom and brother came to visit me for the day. We went to St. Patrick's Cathedral, visited the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center, and ate at the shops down below. Then we went to Central Park, walked around, and tried to eat at the Plaza food court (it was so crowded and there were no seats or tables). So, we ended up eating at The Russian Tea Room, a place where I always wanted to go. I told my mom and brother about it, and they agreed to eat there! I can cross that off restaurants I want to eat in NYC list. Then we looked at the Bergdorf Goodman Christmas window displays, and finally hung out in Times Square! It was a long and cold day, but we were all happy to be together.

On Saturday, I celebrated my birthday and it was surprisingly a blast! I had so much fun, and ate pasta with the in-laws, along with the husband. It was also their 48th wedding anniversary, so we combined the two events. In the evening, we went to TBD bar and my friends bought me gifts, which they shouldn't have. Sam went out of her way and bought me everything cute! She is so generous, along with Mike getting me a graphic novel, how did he know?! Beatrice bought me yummy chocolate and Erica, Kate and Allison got me flowers. It was a big hit, with more than 20 friends showing up! I felt very happy and grateful for friends that played ping pong with me, and came by to say "Happy Birthday!" The husband also brought balloons, pizza and cake, which everyone ate! On my actual birthday, I talked to my family in Baltimore and relaxed reading my Monster book I received from Mike. It was such a nice weekend.
