I just finished reading Rocket Girl: The story of Mary Sherman Morgan, the 1st female rocket scientist by her son, George Morgan. I really enjoyed it and she was selected out of 900 male engineers at the time, (in the 1950s) to work on a cocktail to boost America's first satellite, Explorer I. In fact she was the only female working at the North American Aviation and didn't have a college degree. She invented a 60/40 rocket fuel mixture of unsymmetrical dimethylhyrazine and diethylenetriamine or hydyne. Shying away from celebrity status and attention, she was an inspiration and pioneer to me.

I would love to buy one of these natural history wallpapers!
The whale, deer, shells and measurements are my favorites. They are from Deyrolle in France where I would like to visit one day! It will happen before I die, damn it! ;p From my previous post, my life hasn't been the same these last 3 months, so I miss photography as well. While looking up ideas, I found this photographer: Mitsuko Nagone
I love her stuff so much, it is surreal and very funny, right up my alley. I must start a project soon! Since I broke up with my band last November, I started making crafts to supplement my need to be creative. I tried out for 4 different bands but it didn't work out, then I got engaged and made a lot of DIY stuff for the wedding. Lastly, there was a fire in my building and we had to quickly move out and leave our in home music studio. So I haven't played music in a band for a while, too many things going on. Though for the wedding, I wanted to drum and play 2 songs in my wedding dress! I gathered up my 2 previous band mates, Shen and Kate and we practiced with Luke and Matt. We played I love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett and I believe in a thing called Love by the Darkness. Check it out below: All the DIY crafts I made the last year: zipper bags, monster and animal softies, sewed skirts and scarves, made my own book, pillows, embroidery hoops, needle felting, paper cutting designs, bracelets, glass etching and origami. Stuff I made for my wedding: boutonnieres, hair adornment, cake topper, table settings, card box, and invitations. I think I need a break from crafts, and start playing music again. I miss it so much! Luckily we found a music studio 3 blocks away and we can store our stuff there and play two times a week.
