I can't wait to see this! It's by Aardman Studios, a stop motion company in Bristol, England that did Creature Comforts, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer music video, Wallace and Gromit, and Chicken Run. They are now animating Pirates! In An Adventure with Scientists. I read the book by Gideon Defoe a while ago, and thought it was very funny! It also has David Tennant from DOCTOR WHO as the voice of Charles Darwin! Double YAY! I love him! But anyway, Charles Darwin an English naturalist, wrote On the Origin of Species, The Voyage of the Beagle and many others. He was on a ship expedition that lasted 5 years from South America to the Galapagos Islands and back! Wow, that is pretty long! I don't know if I could to that, especially in 1831! No sea sickness pills, no sunscreen, no chap stick or lip gloss, and no heated blankets! I would totally need all those things! Anyway, "he proposed that all species of life descend from a common ancestry and that branching patterns of evolution resulted from a process he called natural selection (from Wikipedia)". It was a very controversial idea at the time and still is.

Hello peeps! Today I am at the lab, waiting for a package. I thought I would blog about some scientists that are famous/influential/significant to me. I thought of Louis Pasteur. French microbiologist that originated the process of pasteurization, in which bacteria or pathogens are reduced in foods/beverages, so they are unlikely to cause harm or diseases in humans (from Wikipedia). For example, milk! I don't drink milk anymore, I drink soy, rice or almond milk! Milk is heated to a temperature of about 161F for 15-20 seconds then allowed to cool. This is known as High Temperature/Short Time pasteurization. (HTST) He also discovered that bacteria causes fermentation and diseases. Fermentation is a conversion of sugars/carbs to alcohol using yeast or bacteria, under anaerobic (without oxygen) conditions. Fermented products includes wine, beer, and yogurt, but I am sure you already knew that!
I was trying to upload Dragon, but I am having a license activation issue, so I started to make zipper bags instead! Check them out! It's a shark, cat, and a bunny! They are so cute, I can't stand it. The possibilities are endless. I am going to get my bf to fix the software problem. Until then, the crafts continue!
I am getting professional. Not just writing that shit down in a notebook, here I have a template! Used by:
http://j3px.deviantart.com/ I also am learning new terminology: CLOSE-UP SHOT or CU: Subject does not fill frame but is not in full view. E.g. Waist to head. BIG CLOSE UP or BCU: Subject fills screen fully. E.g. Actors face. HIGH CAMERA ANGLE: Camera looks down to subject. E.g. From a crane. LEVEL CAMERA ANGLE: Camera is at same level as subject. LOW CAMERA ANGLE: Looking at subject from below. Makes the subject look significant. LONG SHOT or LS: A shot from maximum distance. ESTABLISHING or EST: Usually makes use of a Long Shot to set the scene. POINT OF VIEW or POV / FIRST PERSON: A shot seen through the characters eyes. I like high and low camera angle, and pov. Also here are some typical arrows used in storyboards! Zooming: By placing a floating box in a frame with arrows you indicate zooming. Movement: Single arrows are usually used to indicate simple movements. Panning: Floating boxes with arrows can be used to show panning.
